Baked Fusilli with Cheese Recipe

 

Ingredients

 

Serves 4-6

  • 1 lb/500 g fusilli

  • 1 1/2 cups/375 ml heavy/double cream

  • 3 eggs

  • 12 oz/350 g Feta cheese, crumbled

  • 1 cup/125 g freshly grated Gruyere cheese

  • 3 tbsp all purpose/plain flour

  • salt to taste

  • 1/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

  • 1/2 cup/60 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese


Method:

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted, boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving 4 tablespoons of the cooking water.

  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/gas 4. Butter an ovenproof baking dish.

  3. Mix the cream, the reserved cooking water, and eggs in a large bowl. Add the crumbled Feta, Gruyere, and flour. Season with salt and nutmeg.

  4. Arrange the pasta in the prepared dish and pour in the egg mixture. Sprinkle with the Parmesan.

  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden. Serve hot.
