Rice with
Coconut Milk Recipe
Ingredients

1 tbsp
finely
chopped onion

1 clove
garlic, finely chopped
-
5 cloves
-
1/2 stick
cinnamon
-
1-2 tsp garam
masala
-
2 tbsp ghee
(clarified butter)

2 cups/400 g
short-grain rice
-
salt to taste
-
1 quart/1
liter coconut milk
Method:
-
Sauté the
onion, garlic, cloves, cinnamon, and garam
masala in the ghee in a wok or large frying pan
over medium heat until aromatic.

Add the
rice. Season with salt. Cook for 3 minutes.

Pour in the
coconut milk and cover and cook over low heat
for 12-15
minutes, or until the rice is tender and all the
liquid has been absorbed.

Remove and
discard the cloves and serve hot.
