Baked Eggs
with Fontina Recipe

6 thin slices
whole-wheat/whole meal bread

tbsp
milk

8 oz/250 g Fontina cheese, thinly sliced

2 tbsp butter, cut into flakes

6 eggs
Method:

Preheat
the oven to 350°F/180°C/gas
4.
Butter an ovenproof baking dish.
-
Dip the
bread in the milk and arrange in the prepared
baking dish.
Top with half the Fontina and butter.

Bake for
8-10
minutes, or until the bread is
golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Break the eggs into the dish and cover each one with
the
remaining slices of Fontina.
-
Bake for
10-15
minutes, or until the egg white is cooked and the
cheese has melted.
Serve hot.
