Method:
-
Use
a pair of scissors to snip the grapes from the
bunch, leaving a little of the stem attached.

Wash well and dry on paper towels. Insert a
toothpick in each grape next to the stem.

Pour the water into a small saucepan and add the
sugar and cream of tartar.

Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat until it
forms a syrup. To test: drop a little syrup onto a
plate; it should form soft balls.

Remove from the heat and dip in the grapes one by
one.
Let the grapes set on a lightly buttered dish,
keeping them well- spaced.
