Onion Focaccia Recipe
Ingredients
Makes
one (10x15-inch/25x30cm) Focaccia

1 quantity Focaccia Dough (refer recipe)

2 onions, thinly sliced
-
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
-
salt to taste
-
1/2 tsp each dried thyme and marjoram (optional)
Method:

Prepare the
focaccia dough and set aside to rise (about 1 hour).
Oil a 10 x 15-inch (25 x 38-cm) baking pan.

Roll the dough
out into a rectangle to fit the pan and place in the
pan. Let rise for 30 more minutes.

Preheat the oven
to 450°F/220°C/gas 7. Sauté the onions in the oil
for 5 minutes. Brush the dough with oil.

Arrange the onion
slices on top, season with salt, thyme, and
marjoram, if liked.

Bake for 20-25
minutes, or until golden. Serve hot.
