Ingredients
Serves 4
Method:

Put the milk, parsley, peppercorns, onion, bay leaf
and nutmeg or mace in a pan.

Slowly bring to boiling
point, and simmer over a low heat for 4 to 5
minutes. Strain and allow to cool.

Melt the
margarine in a pan over a low heat. Add the flour
and blend in well.

Add the cooled milk a little at a
time, mixing well with a spoon each time you add it.

Repeat this process until all the milk has been
used. Season with salt and pepper.
