Easy Dishes Recipes - Salmon Sashimi with Sesame Vinaigrette Recipe

Ingredients

  • 600 g/11/4lb salmon fillet, skinned

  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds

  • 50 g/2 oz marinated ginger W

  • asabi (green horseradish)

  • 6 tablespoons sesame vinaigrette (refer recipe)

Serves 4


Method:

  1. Carefully trim the salmon fillet and, using tweezers, pull out any remaining bones.

  2. Cut into pieces, 1 cm/1/2 inch thick and 2-3 cm/1 inch long. Arrange the salmon pieces on 4 serving plates or bowls and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  3. Serve the marinated ginger, wasabi and sesame vinaigrette separately. Each person takes a piece of salmon, brushes a tiny amount of wasabi onto it and then dips it briefly into the vinaigrette.

  4. Eat the sliced ginger in between bites.
