Party Desserts Recipes - Smoked Fish Pate'
Ingredients

4 smoked mackerel fillets or 2
whole smoked mackerel
-
juice of 2 limes or 1 lemon
-
4 oz (110g) cream cheese,
softened
-
1/2 lb (225g) butter, melted
pepper, to taste
-
springs or fresh herbs such as
dill, fennel, flat-leaf parsley
-
lemon slices, to garnish
-
Melba toast or crackers, to
serve
Method:
-
Skin
and flake mackerel. Place in a blender or food
processor with lime juice, cream cheese and butter.
Blend to a puree. Season with pepper.

Turn
into a suitable size serving dish and chill for
several hours. Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon
slices.

Serve with Melba toast or crackers.
