Party Desserts Recipes - Filo Delights
Ingredients
SEAFOOD FILLING

1/4 Cup (60ML) cottage cheese

8 oz (225g) can crabmeat,
drained

2 green onions, chopped

salt and pepper, to taste
SPINACH CHEESE FILLING

4 oz (110g) spinach, shredded
and cooked

1 small onion, chopped
-
1 oz (28g) feta cheese,
crumbled
-
1/2 tsp (2.5ml) lemon juice
-
pepper, to taste
CHILI PEPPER MEAT FILLING
CREAM CHEESE FILLING

4 oz (110g) cream cheese,
softened
-
2 green onions, chopped
-
salt and pepper, to taste
Method:

To
prepare the fillings, combine ingredients,
adjusting seasoning a necessary.

Place pastry between 2 dry dish towels and cover
with a barely damp dish towel. Take 2 sheet of pasty
at a time and place 1 on top of the other.Cut pastry
into 6 pieces, across the width. Brush each piece of
pastry with a little butter.

Place 1 tsp (5ml) of selected filling in left-hand
corner of pastry up to cover filling to form a large
triangle. Fold left-hand corner up to form a smaller
triangle. Continue folding in corners to make a neat
package of the filling.Brush with melted butter.
Repeat with remaining pastry and filling.

Place on baking tray. Bake at 400F (200C) for 15-20
minutes until golden brown. Serve hot.
Note:
Filo delights can be filled in advance. Layer uncooked
triangles between sheets of plastic wrap and freeze fro
up to 2 weeks. Place frozen into hot oven to cook and
brown.
