Main Dish Recipes - Moon Over Mostaccioli

Ingredients      

  • 2 Tbs. olive oil

  • 2 Tbs. butter

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery

  • 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped

  • 1/2 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup chopped stuffed olives

  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

  • 1-lb. jar San Giorgio Spaghetti Sauce with Meat

  • 8 oz. (1/2 package) San Giorgio Mostaccioli Rigati (Pasta)

  • 1/2  cup grated Cheddar cheese

Serves 4


Method:

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in heavy saucepan. Sauté onion, celery, green pepper and garlic for 10 minutes. Add olives, parsley and sauce; simmer 10 minutes more.

  2. Meanwhile prepare mostaccioli according to package directions. Drain well.

  3. Toss with sauce in heated bowl. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
