Main Dish Recipes - Grand-Mott's Roast Pork

Ingredients 

  • 4 to 6 lbs. pork loin roast

  • 1/4 cup Mott's Apple Sauce

  • 1/3 cup Grandma's Molasses

  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed        

Makes 8 to 10 servings


Method:

  1. Have meat retailer loosen chine (back) bone. Place roast fat side up on rack in open roasting pan. Insert meat thermometer with bulb in thickest part not touching bone.

  2. Roast in 325°F of oven 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until meat thermometer registers 170°F.

  3. In saucepan, combine apple sauce, molasses, ginger and garlic over medium heat. Brush pork with glaze every 10 minutes during last 1/2 hour of cooking.

  4. Serve pork with remaining apple sauce.
