Main Dish Recipes - Creamy Mustard Sauce

Ingredients   

  • 2 to 3 tsps. Colman's Mustard (dry)

  • 2 to 3 tsps. water

  • 1/4 cup vinegar

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup beef bouillon

  • 1 Tbs. corn starch

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 1 Tbs. butter

Serves 6 to 8


Method:

  1. Combine Colman's Mustard and water; let stand 10 minutes.

  2. Boil vinegar in small saucepan until reduced to 1 Tbs.

  3. Stir in heavy cream, bouillon, com starch and salt. Cook and stir until thickened.

  4. Add butter and mustard mixture. Serve with beef, pork, lamb and vegetables.
