Main Dish Recipes - Bucks Country Lamb Stew

Ingredients 

  • 3 Tbs. corn oil

  • 2 lbs lamb stew meat, cut into 2-inch cubes

  • 1 beef bouillon cube

  • 2 tsps. salt

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1/4 tsp. crushed dried thyme leaves

  • 4 1/2 cups water

  • 6 carrots

  • 12 small white onions

  • 1/4 cup Argo-Kingsford' s Corn Starch

Makes 6 servings


Method:

  1. In skillet heat com oil Over medium heat. Add beef; brown on all sides. Add next 4 ingredients and 4 cups of the water. Cover; bring to boil.

  2. Reduce heat; simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add carrots and onions. Simmer 1/2 hour or until tender.

  3. Mix Com Starch and 1/2 cup water. Stir into beef mixture. Bring to boil, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute.
