Main Dish Recipes - Basic Bordelaise Sauce

Ingredients   

  • 3 Tbs. butter                            

  • 1/4 cup diced onions                          

  • 2 Tbs. flour                                 

  • 1 cup beef bouillon  

  • 1/2 cup Holland House@ Red Cooking Wine  

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 1 Tbs. chopped parsley


Method:

  1. Heat butter in large skillet. Sauté onions in butter until golden; add flour and blend thoroughly.

  2. Add and stir until smooth. Blend in Holland House Red Cooking Wine, parsley and garlic.

  3. Delicious on steak, roast beef and chops.
