Ingredients

1/4 cup olive oil

3 tablespoons red
wine vinegar

3 tablespoons snipped
fresh oregano

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

4 ounces whole wheat
sourdough or other country-style
bread, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes

1/2
of a 10-ounce package
Italian-style torn mixed
salad greens (about 5 cups)

1 medium tomato, cut
into thin wedges

1/4 cup halved yellow cherry
tomatoes or yellow sweet
pepper cut into 1/2-inch pieces

1/2
cup pitted ripe
olives
Method:

For
dressing, in a screw-top jar combine olive oil, wine vinegar,
oregano, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Cover and shake well.

In a
large salad bowl combine bread cubes, mixed greens, tomato wedges,
cherry tomatoes or sweet pepper, and olives. Pour dressing over;
toss gently to coat. Serve immediately.
