Italian Recipes - Polenta with Turkey Sausage Florentine

Ingredients        

  • 1 9- or 10-ounce package frozen creamed spinach

  • 8 ounces uncooked bulk turkey sausage

  • 1/2 of a 16-ounce tube refrigerated cooked polenta with

  • wild mushrooms, cut into 3/4-inch-thick slices

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds or pine nuts, toasted


Method:

  1. Cook the spinach according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a medium skillet cook saus8.ge until brown. Drain in a colander.

  2. In the same skillet cook polenta slices in hot olive oil about 6 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Transfer polenta to serving plates.

  3. Stir cooked sausage into hot creamed spinach; heat through and spoon on top of the polenta. Sprinkle with nuts.
