Italian Recipes - Chicken in Roasted Garlic Sauce

Ingredients                     

  • 4 small chicken legs (thigh-drumstick piece) (2 1/2 to 3 pounds total), skinned

  • 26-ounce jar roasted garlic pasta sauce

  • 16-ounce package frozen (yellow, green, and red) peppers and onion stir-fry vegetables

  • 3 cups hot cooked noodles

  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or finely shredded Parmesan cheese


Method:

  1. Place chicken in a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker. Add pasta sauce and frozen vegetables.

  2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 7 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

  3. Serve chicken and vegetable mixture with hot cooked noodles. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
