Indian Seafood Recipes - Grilled Spiced Trout

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh trout

  • 5 ml/1 tsp ground turmeric

  • 5 ml/1 tsp ground cumin

  • 5 ml/1 tsp black pepper

  • 60 ml/4 tbsp chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp mustard oil

  • 5 ml/1 tsp salt


Method:

  1. Clean the trout and pat dry. Mix together the remaining ingredients, coat the trout and leave to marinate for 1 hour.

  2. Grill the fish for about 10 minutes until tender then serve at once with plain rice.
