Healthy Desserts Recipes - Banana and Carob Chip Ice-Cream
Ingredients
2 large (460g) over-ripe bananas
1 cup (250ml) light evaporated milk
1 cup mashed
banana
1/2 cup (125ml) low-fat yogurt
1/4 cup (60ml)
skim milk
1/4 cup (60ml) maple flavored syrup
2 teaspoons
vanilla essence
1/3 cup (55g)
carob buttons, chopped
Method:
Pour
evaporated milk into 14 x 21cm loaf pan,
cover with foil, freeze until just firm.
Process evaporated milk, banana, yogurt,
skim milk, maple syrup and essence until
thick and creamy.
Pour mixture into
loaf pan, cover, freeze until just firm. Repeat
processing, stir in carob, cover, freeze until firm.
