Fast Desserts Recipes - Tipsy Berry Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1//2 cups (375 ml) ready-made custard

  • 6 jam rollettes, cut into   quarters

  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) sweet sherry

  • 250 g fresh or frozen raspberries strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced

  • 300 ml cream, whipped


Method:

  1. Divide half of the custard into the base of six parfait glasses or 1 1/2 cup (375 ml) glass tumblers. Place half the rollettes on top of the custard in each glass. Pour half of the sherry into the glasses, then top with almost half of the berries and half of the cream.

  2. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, to give two  layers, finishing with the  ream. Decorate each of the trifles with the remaining berries.

Note: If you're trying to make this healthier, use low-fat custard and light cream instead of the whipped cream. Variations: Try adding ready-made raspberry jelly in between each layer of the trifle. Any combination of fresh or frozen berries works well in the trifle.
