Chinese Desserts Recipes - Mongolian Rice Pudding
Ingredients
5 tbsp (75ml) brown rice
1 cup (250ml) water
2 1/2 cups (625ml) milk or soy milk
1/2 cup (125ml) sugar
1/2 cup (125ml) walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup (60ml0 raisins
cinnamon or nutmeg
Method:
Put rice and water in a saucepan. Cook until water has been absorbed. Add milk and sugar and cook over low heat until mixture thickens. Add walnuts and raisins.
Serve hot, sprinkled with cinnamon.
