Chocolate Desserts Recipe - Banana Boats

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup (310ml) vanilla ice cream

  • 4 bananas, peeled

  • 3 tbsp (45ml) chopped nuts

Chocolate Sauce

  • 8 oz (225g) dark or semisweet baking chocolate

  • 2 cups (500ml) water

  • 1 tbsp (15ml) sugar

  • few drops vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream

  • 2 tsp (10ml) butter


Method:

  1. Prepare chocolate sauce following instructions in Pears Helene recipe. Allow sauce to cool.

  2. Place 2 scoops ice cream in each of 4 sundae glasses. Place a banana on top and pour chocolate sauce over.

  3. Sprinkle each serving with chopped nuts and serve immediately.
