Meat Recipes - Spicy Beef Satay

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) boneless steak, cut in thin strips

  • 1 tbsp (15ml) soy sauce

  • 1 tsp (5ml) sesame oil

  • 2 tsp (10ml) curry paste

  • 4 tbsp (60ml) sesame paste

  • 3 tbsp (45ml) dry sherry

  • 3 tbsp (45ml) vegetable oil


Method:

  1. Combine steak with soy sauce and sesame oil. Marinate 15 minutes.

  2. Thread three to four slices on each satay stick. Leave 3/4 inch (2cm) at the pointed end of stick without meat. A thin strip of foil can be wound around the blunt end of each stick to decorate.
