Chinese Recipes - Plain Boned Tou-Fu (Bean Curd) with Hot Sauce Dressing Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cakes bean curd

Dressing:

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp sesame paste or peanut butter
  • 45ml/3 tbsp best quality soy sauce
  • 30ml/2 tbsp stock
  • 10ml/2 tsp chili sauce
  • 15ml/1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 30ml/2 tbsp sesame oil

Serve 6-8

Method:

  1. Plate the bean curd in boiling water in a pan and simmer gently for 5-6 minutes. Drain completely and cut each piece of bean curd into quarters.

  2. Mix the ingredients for the dressing until well blended. Arrange the pieces of hot bean curd on a serving dish and pour the cold dressing over them.
