Chinese Recipes - Braised Chinese White Cabbage with Dried Shrimps and White Bean Curd Recipe

Ingredients
- 550 g (1 1/4 lb) Chinese cabbage shrimps
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) vegetable oil
- 10 ml (2 teaspoons) dried shrimp
- 125 ml (1/4 pint) stock
- 22 ml (1 1/2 tablespoons) white bean-curd cheese

Method:

Cut the cabbage into 6.25 cm (2 1/2 in) slices. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Add the cabbage and turn it in the oil until most leaves are well coated. Add the dried shrimps and stock.

Bring to the boil, and simmer for 2 minutes. Add the bean-curd cheese and mix it with the cabbage. Reduce the heat and leave the contents to simmer for 15 minutes, then pour them into a deep-sided bowl and serve.
