Appetizers Recipes - Sweet and Sour Franks

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup red currant jelly

  • 1/2 cup prepared brown mustard

  • 2 Tbs. minced onion

  • 1 Tbs. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1 lb. frankfurters, cut into 1-inch chunks

Makes about 32 hors d'oeuvres


Method:

  1. In a medium saucepan mix jelly, mustard, onion and Lea & Perrins; bring to boiling point.

  2. Add frankfurters; return to boiling point. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. If desired, serve hot from a chafing dish with cocktail picks.
