Cocktail Meatballs
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
-
1 egg, slightly
beaten
-
2 Tbs. fine dry bread crumbs
-
1/2 tsp. salt
-
1/2 cup
finely chopped onion
-
1/3 cup finely
chopped green pepper
-
2 Tbs. butter or
margarine
-
1 10 3/4-oz. can Campbell's Condensed Tomato Soup
-
2 Tbs. brown sugar
-
1 Tbs. vinegar
-
1 Tbs. Worcestershire
sauce
-
1 tsp. prepared mustard
-
Dash hot pepper sauce
Makes about 3 1/2 cups
Method:
-
Mix thoroughly beef, egg, bread crumbs and salt; shape
into small 1/2-inch meatballs.
-
Arrange in shallow
baking pan (12 x 8 x 2 inches). Broil 4 inches from heat
until browned; turn once. Pour off fat.

Meanwhile, in
saucepan, cook onion and green pepper in butter
until tender.

Add meatballs and remaining
ingredients. Cover; cook over low heat 10 minutes. Stir
occasionally.
